Eight Principles of Health (English)

Air - Breathing fresh air, free of pollutants, smoke, and free of other harmful substances is very important for optimal health!  Strive for an environment that has circulating fresh air, oxygen from plants, and adequate indoor ventilation.

Rest - The body needs time to rest.  Good sleep is one of the most essential components of good health!  Plan daily to give your body enough rest.

Exercise - Daily physical, mental, and spiritual activities help ‘rejuvenate’ mind and body!  Give yourself the benefits of exercise, increase ‘healthy’ activities daily!

Sunlight - Obtaining a moderate number of sunrays daily helps boost the immune system, and gives the body a boost of Vitamin D.   Obtain more indoor light, by opening blinds, and curtains.  Strive for more ‘sunshine’ in your life!

Water - Drink adequate amounts of fresh pure water.  By drinking water, your body works to eliminate toxins and other harmful chemicals.

Nutrition - Eating daily meals that are rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains give the body the optimal nutrients for health.   Whole foods are packed with vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that help protect and restore the body from disease.

Temperance - Abstain from every harmful substance, chemicals, additives, and anything that harms the mind and body. Stay away from drugs, alcohol, nicotine, and other health-damaging things!
